Conversion Tracking Checker

Enter a page address and see which analytics and advertising tags are in the HTML it serves — GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, LinkedIn and more — plus what each finding actually proves, and what it does not.

Page to check Free · no account needed

Enter a page address and we will fetch it and report which marketing and analytics tags are in the HTML it serves.

Any public page. We fetch it once and read the HTML it returns.

We can see code that arrives with the page. We cannot see inside a Tag Manager container, and we do not accept consent banners — so some tags genuinely cannot be confirmed from outside. Where that is the case we say "cannot tell" rather than guessing.

Enter a page address to see what we can read from it.

What this checks

We fetch the page once from our server and read the HTML it returns. Where a tag’s code is present we say so and, where the platform exposes one publicly, show the property or container ID. We also look at the conversion paths on the page itself: enquiry forms, click-to-call links and email links.

Why some answers are “we cannot tell”

Two things routinely hide a tag from a check like this. A tag manager can deliver any pixel from inside a container we are not able to read. A consent banner can withhold marketing tags until a visitor accepts, and we never accept. So when either is present, a tag we did not find is reported as cannot tell rather than missing. Telling a business it has no tracking when the tags are sitting in its container would be worse than saying nothing.

How to read your result

A detected tag means the code is on the page. It does not mean conversions are configured, that events fire on the right actions, that values and currency are correct, or that anyone trusts the numbers. Those live inside the accounts, and the result gives you the specific things to confirm there.

What to watch for

The most common finding we see is not a missing tag — it is a tag installed correctly with no conversion defined behind it. Google Ads then optimises towards clicks, because clicks are all it has been given. The second most common is phone calls going entirely uncounted on a business whose phone is its main channel.

Questions

No, and no external check can. It proves which code is on the page. Whether a conversion is defined, fires once, carries the right value and reaches the platform that bids on it can only be confirmed inside your accounts. The result lists exactly what to check there.

Because Google Tag Manager is on your page. GA4 may well be delivered from inside the container, which we cannot read from outside. That is a genuinely unknown answer and we would rather give you that than a confident wrong one.

No. We fetch the page the way a search engine or a first-time visitor would, before any consent is given. If your tags are configured to wait for consent — which is often correct — they will not be visible to us.

No. The scan result is cached for a few minutes so repeated checks do not hit the site again, and nothing about the address is sent to our analytics.

You can check any public page. It reads the same HTML any visitor’s browser receives, and it does not log in, submit anything or follow links.

Proof this works

Setup4 came to us with traffic and no reliable way to tell which of it turned into business. Fixing measurement first is what made every decision after it defensible — and produced 400+ sales-qualified leads through calls and forms.

If you would rather we handled it

We install measurement that a business can actually make decisions from — conversions defined against real outcomes, imported where the bidding happens, and reported in language a director understands.
