Hello Small Businesses, Today we’ll be talking about the importance of social for your Business.

You Might think, why social Influence is so important to my business.

Many People are talking about your business online, it may be good, bad or an average, but the real thing, we need to think about is how are we steering that our way for a greater business height? Everyone knows how powerful a social media can be, like its powerful advertisement options to its tools for a small business. A Solid Social Presence helps you engage potential customers and grow your business.

According to the stats, 57% of people who follow your business are likely to buy from you and the rest less likely to buy but we can steer them our way by targeting them with some promotions or engaging with them and learn what they are expecting from us to improve and become as our potential customer.

I always believe having a social gives your customers a legitimate eye and brand to business. You might think we don’t have time to engage constantly with our customers with our busy days. Trust me you don’t have to spend more time in it. May be an initial setup worth time all we need to start your business.

Ive broken the next sections down by where you may be in your social strategy, including information for those just getting started and more advanced tips for those with an established presence.

Create Business Page

Start with basics, create a business page. The first step in showing your digital presence is by creating a brand page for business. Don’t panic, it’s just a regular page but for your business. Next stage, start spreading the word to your friends, family and customers to like and share. Add as much information as possible in social pages to let customers learn more about business.

Engage Regularly

Setting a page and customising is just a face of the business. Now it’s time to show what you do in your business. Personalise it!! “Post as frequently as you can and, at a minimum, once per day,” said Katie Campbell, social media manager at Fundera. You need your audience to feel like they know your business. The most important thing is content, ask yourself, why the customers want to check-in or talk about your business!! Show what your business can do with your content, posts about the photos and behind-the-scenes to tell more about the business to your customers. One more interesting thing about facebook is you can schedule your posts anytime you want. If you want to post them at certain date and time of your busiest work hours set to that time and relax. Facebook posts your content at that time.

People Spend a ridiculously large amount of their time on Social Media and engagement works if you have a lot of people in your page by creating more and more new content in your page.

Promoting your socials

Its just an advanced step. You got good content but its not getting traffic because organic posts don’t get more engagement as it used to before. These tactics worked like a charm 5 years ago but today’s world everyone became smart and businesses got smart too. We need to put ourself out and reach our customers. You might be thinking its getting expensive but trust me its worth it.

Luckily, Facebook started sponsored content to target the audience with advanced targeting capabilities and reach out to the new audience for impressions and clicks to drive traffic to your page or website.

You can still use organic posts that got good content and it reaches to more active people to drive traffic and build brand awareness, and you can nurture your audience to convert your side.

Target your audience and social networks

Social media provides one of the best ways to reach a targeted audience, but first, you have to identify that audience. Consider things like:

  • Age
  • Location
  • Income
  • Education
  • Career
  • Interests

Remember the more specific you can get, the better. This is because this will enable you to create content that suits your audience to get more engagement and take a targeted approach to reach right people at the right time.

Try Facebook Ads

The reason I’m telling to use facebook ads is its the most powerful tool ever used in social platform to reach more people. One more reason is Facebook owns Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. If you Start investing small money on Ads, it’ll reach to all 3 platforms with same price. When you create a special event or limited time promotion or offers use it to promote for better engagement. As I’ve mentioned before you can target certain audience by their age, location, gender or interests.

Facebook Ad Manager has an analytical tool which helps you understand what drives your customers more.
